In a statement on Thursday, Honda Motor Co said that in April, China sales reached 42,062 units, up 2.9% from a year earlier.
For the Sales at Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., it was the joint venture with the Japanese firm’s car-making and Guangzhou Automobile Group, rose 9.1% to 26,012 units in April and were up 3.4% to 98,666 cars this year to date.
Meanwhile, Sales of Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., a joint venture with Dongfeng Motor Group Co, the sales is around 5.68% to 16,050 vehicles, through sales in the first four months were up 1.8% to 59,119.
Accordding to Japanese carmaker, for the total, Honda sold of 157,785 vehicles, up 2.8% year-on-year in the first four month.
Overall, in April only, China sold 831,000 sedans, minivans and other passenger vehicles a rise of 37.37% year on year, the most in three years.
